The Examinations Department has announced that the official results sheet of the 2016 Advanced Level examination will be released after 10am today.

Principals of the schools belonging to the Colombo and Sri Jayewardenepura educational zones can obtain the respective results sheets from the Examinations Department’s School Examinations and Results branch.

The results sheets of the schools belonging to the other zones would be posted to the respective schools by the Department.

Private candidates too would receive their results sheets via the post.

All candidates who wish to submit applications for the re-scrutiny of results, have to do so before the 23rd of January.

School candidates can obtain the application forms for the re-scrutiny of results from their respective schools.

Private candidates will be notified of the process for re-scrutiny of results via the newspapers.

The results of the 2016 A/Level examination were released via the Examinations Department’s website www.doenets.lk early this morning.

A total of 263,550 candidates sat the 2016 A/Level exam.

Meanwhile, the Department of Examinations has stated any queries pertaining to the results can be directed via the hotline 1911 or via telephone number (011) 278 4208.

Inquiries pertaining to the results could also be directed via the telephone numbers (011) 278 4537 / (011) 318 8350 and (011) 314 0314.
